Merry Holidays!

Twas Christmas vacation, at our little house
,
Much to be done by self and dear spouse:
The stockings were packed into suitcases, many.

The presents piled up; we'd spent quite a penny.
We'd visited family in Santa Clara for dinner,
The carrot lentil stew seemed to be a solid winner.
Gifts had been sent 'round the whole nation,
Even some cards, mailed to UK relations.

SoCal children awaited our arrival with cheer,

They like it a lot when Auntie and Uncle are near.

So 'Becca in her 'nightgown, and I playing WoW,

Had just finished dishes and laundry and now,

Wanted to take half a moment to think of you, friends,
For this solstice, these holidays, this good ol' year's end:
Hoping your holidays are merry, cheerful and bright
